I’m guessing that was a lot to take in.
Step 1 can be quite confronting
because it’s showing you that
you’ve been neglecting yourself for a very long time now.
And that accumulation of neglect is causing:
a) Emotional Fragility
b) Emotional Alarms aka Pain
c) Broken Trust
But good news is that it’s showing
what’s actually causing your anxiety
that is simple and has an actual solution.
Tomorrow in Step 2, you will learn about the solution.
In the meantime, try to be gentle to yourself.
Do your best not to beat yourself up for the neglect.
A) Nobody showed you how to do it better
B) Just see that the neglect’s been going on for a while now
so you can better understand where these painful
symptoms are coming from.
C) If you beat yourself up, it’s just more neglect and not really helping.
So, try to be gentle to yourself.
Because you deserve it and because
you took in a lot of intense information today.
